Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company marketing generic and branded pharmaceutical products as well as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) from its sales and marketing headquarters in Baltimore, MD. 


This position is based in Lupin's Inhalation Research Center located in Coral Springs, FL and it is a temp to hire position.  This facility focuses on the development of branded and generic inhaled pharmaceutical products. 


  • Consult with business unit requestors to develop or confirm specifications/needs.
  • Prepare PR’s in SAP (lab supplies experience a plus). Responsible for purchase requisition creation; order tracking and management, and submittal of invoices to Accounts Payable.
  • Provide periodic reporting on Open Orders.
  • Ensure purchase orders are in accordance with SOP policies and procedures.
  • Monitor any outstanding Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with business unit requestors to ensure purchases meet the quality, cost, timelines and functionality requirements.
  • Enter purchasing data into the applicable systems and ensure on-going data updates occur with the highest degree of integrity.
  • Expedite material to improve deliveries and resolve material discrepancies (i.e. repairs, returns, rejects.).
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends and technologies, products and services.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of tools, processes and practices for purchasing goods and services via electronic methods to vendors.
  • Understands and adheres to applicable Procurement policies, practices, methods within a highly regulated industry.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Organization and planning skills required to execute multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including, presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to use SAP or equivalent ERP systems


  • Bachelor's degree in related field AND one year of buying or expediting experience; OR 3-5 years of buying/procurement experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • ERP experience, preference in SAP
  • FDA, NIOSH, OSHA knowledge a plus.
  • Previous healthcare or pharmacy business experiences a plus.
