Overview

 Logistics Coordinator to work closely with our third party logistics provider and freight forwarders.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of all inbound freight shipments for Lupin’s branded and generics pharmaceutical business from India to the US, including daily follow-up with freight carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Resolve freight related queries from the US Food and Drug Administration and US Customs
  • Issue daily status summary of all inbound freight shipments.
  • Coordinate delivery and inventory check-in priorities with Lupin’s third party logistics (3PL) provider.
  • Coordinate pick, pack and delivery priorities with Lupin’s 3 PL.
  • Issue weekly inventory/order/backorder/in-transit summary to management and Lupin’s facilities in India.
  • Participate in weekly product supply telephone conferences with the India based manufacturing sites, bi-weekly new product launch conference calls and ad hoc telephone conferences dealing with product supply in general.
  • Develop periodic management reports relating to slow moving inventories, inventories with short dating, and inventories that may be targeted for charitable donation.
  • Other and broader job responsibilities in the planning area may be assigned at a later date depending on the candidate’s job performance, job knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimally requires a Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or finance, though other majors will be considered.
  • Aptitude to deal with large amounts of numerical information
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • High level proficiency in Excel
  • Strong verbal and written skills based on high degree of communication requirement
  • Course work specifically related to logistics, production planning and inventory management areas will be an added benefit.
