  • Overview

    Reporting to the Manager – Inline Products & Analysis, the Pricing/Inline Product Analyst has responsibilities that focus mainly on the inline product portfolio but will also be utilized in New Product Launches. The Pricing/Inline Product Analyst will assist in the identification of sales and margin enhancements by identifying targets (customer and products), developing models and reporting, and tracking sales activity.  This position will develop/update financial models for New Product Launches, which could include profitability models, launch tracking grids, and sales analytics.  This position will also be instrumental in the RFP/Annual Bid Process for our customers.  The Pricing/Inline Product Analyst will work closely with Sales team in preparing and/or conducting Customer Business Review, as well as ad hoc analytics.  The Pricing/Inline Product Analyst will also align with the Finance and Accounting group as it relates to notifications of business impacts to ensure proper accrual methodology.

    Responsibilities

    • Works closely with the Sales and Marketing team to support Rx Generics strategy to achieve sales objectives (market share, sales and margin) which correlates to successful product launches, increases market penetration and profitability on the new and inline product portfolio.
    • Provides analysis and financial models to support Sales and Marketing objectives that are related to both the strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans.
    • Assists in the development of programs to differentiate Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from the competition, which may include Volume Incentive Rebate Programs or other Growth Programs.
    • Creates accurate financial models to be used to support the requirements relating to annual budgets, strategic plans, ad-hoc and recurring financial projections.
    • Assist in the administration, continued development and enhancements of Salesforce/CPQ.
    • Maintains a close working relationships with his/her peers to devise and execute an integrated commercial strategy.
    • Support the management of the product life-cycle on inline products, including monitoring sales reporting and market data research against key competitors.
    • Ad hoc analysis on a variety of Sales and Marketing projects that will be required from time to time. Examples may include WAC Analysis, Indirect Pricing Review, Net Sales Database, Contract Price Reports, Profitability Analysis by Product and/or Customer, Annual Bid Reviews, Meet The Competition and Request For Proposal opportunities.
    • Assists in the development of Generic Sales Reporting/Analytics tool (Arcplan, BW, etc.).
    • Develops a standard template for Customer Business Reviews in conjunction with Sales team.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance.
    • Strong analytical skills, prior experience working with forecasts, pricing models, analyzing market research results to turn data into actionable insights, and a strong focus on business analytics as a means to improve and grow the business.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills and an ability to work with diverse internal and external constituents.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan and execute multiple short- and long-term projects, while meeting all deadlines.
    • Strong ability to identify/anticipate opportunities, challenges and road blocks, while maintaining a solutions-focused approach and develops plans accordingly.
    • High level of computer office proficiency required, especially in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
    • Ability to collaborate across multiple priorities and internal and external functional groups.

    Desired Qualifications:

     

    • Generic pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred
    • A well rounded professional with 2+ years experience, preferably in the Generic Rx pharmaceutical industry
    • Prior experience with Salesforce.com.
