  • Overview

    The Associate/Director of Marketing for Professional Promotions is responsible for managing all aspects of brands in their area of responsibility, including product management, market research, budget management, strategic planning and life-cycle management.  This position will report to the Senior Director of Marketing, but will require close collaboration with related business functions including Business Analytics, Training, Sales Operations, Managed Markets, Finance, Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Management to ensure success.  This position may manage direct reports including such roles as Product Manager(s), Market Research Analyst(s) and Marketing Intern(s).  Position may be based in Somerset, NJ or Baltimore, MD.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Senior Director of Marketing in completing the strategic market planning process and Brand plan
    • Help guide and shape strategic decisions and ensure flawless execution of promotional campaigns and programs
    • Leverage market research insights to develop impactful promotional programs that will target healthcare professionals (HCPs) leading to increased brand awareness and prescriptions
    • Lead projects through the Promotional Review Committee (PRC)
    • Develop and execute professional promotions campaigns, messaging, and promotional tactics, including both personal and non-personal materials
    • Collaborate with Commercial Training & Development to ensure effective, impactful, world-class training on product clinical information and promotional tools
    • Coordinate the work of multiple external strategic partners including agency of record and internal departments including Business Analytics, Training, Sales Operations, Managed Markets, Finance, Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Management
    • Ensure that budget management is a priority with all projects/budgets within approved limits
    • Manage agencies and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered with exceptional quality, timeliness and value
    • Measure program performance to ensure success and targeted ROI; Modify as necessary
    • Plan and participate in medical conferences, advisory boards and speaker programs to advance customer awareness, interest and advocacy for our Women’s Healthcare business and Brands
    • Collaborate with Medical, Business Development, Management and KOLs to identify, develop and support new brands, indications and formulations

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, health sciences or a related discipline
    • Pharmaceutical sales experience
    • Minimum of 10+ years of successful specialty Brand pharmaceutical marketing experience
    • Successful specialty Brand launch experience

    Preferences:

    • KOL relationship management experience
    • Managed Markets (payer) experience
    • Direct-to-Patient marketing experience
    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Advertising
